Joseph Humphrey's Obituary
Joseph Humphrey was born December 4,1989 in Hollywood, Alabama. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age.
He was a sophomore student at North Jackson High school and a former student at Hollywood Jr. High School were he played connerback and a receiver for the North Jackson Chiefs. He loved to play basketball, football and video games.
Joseph was loved by his family and friends, they all lovingly called him "Fred". He was quite by nature, much of the time: but he had a zest for life and he love to have fun. He will be truly missed by his friends and relatives.
On March 19, 2007, God saw that he wanted more beautiful flowers in his garden and took Joseph. He leaves to cherish his memories: parents; Felicia Dillard of Guntersville, Al, and Father, Richard Humphrey of Hollywood, Alabama; two sisters, Mary Humphrey of Hollywood, Alabama and Martina Wilson of Scottsboro, Alabama; three Brothers, Larry (Pig) Humphrey, Keith Humphrey of Stevenson, Alabama, and Earnest Wilson of Hollywood, Alabama; nieces and nephews; a host of relatives and friends and a special friend Jasmine Green; his grandparents preceded him in death, Rev. Earnest Wilson and Herbert and Susie Humphrey.
Come home Joseph and take your rest, Your work on earth is done.
You've fought a "Good Fight", Joseph you have made some touchdowns,
you have shot some basketball shots and played video games too.
God said Joseph; I have a better place, where there is no competition
and no championship games for you to play.
I'm going to take care of your loved ones
That You're leaving behind, Your Father, Richard, your Mother Felicia, Sisters Mary and Martina,
your Brothers Larry, Keith and Ernest, Grandmother Margie,
Classmates, Family and Your extended family at North Jackson High School.
Joseph we are going to miss your smiling face and
your outstanding personality and mannerism.
If we put our trust in God above, He'll show us the beauty of His Grace. He'll carry us through the rough times and help us to be strong, when we put our faith in Him, the days without you won't be quite as long. And though it's not easy saying goodbye to those that we love, when we put our faith in Him, Blessings of comfort rain down from above knowing that Master Joseph Humphrey, whom we cherished and adored is now resting in peace, safe and Secure in the arms of Christ our Lord.
