Joseph Houston Williams, Jr., 47 of Bridgeport, AL, died May 1, 2009 at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN. He had worked as a construction carpenter. Mr. Williams served in the U. S. Army in Desert Storm.
Joseph was preceded in death by his mother Lillian Opal Stephens Williams.
He is survived by his father Joseph Williams, Sr. of Bridgeport, AL; wife of 21 years Sheila Jean Grime Williams of Bridgeport, daughters Opal Jean Williams and Catherine Jane Williams both of Hartsville, AL; brothers David Troy Williams, Kenny Wayne Williams of GA, Roger Dale Williams of Stevenson, AL, Larry Alan Williams of Bridgeport, AL; sister Lillian Ruth Williams of New Hope, AL; several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 11 AM - 2 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Tuesday, May 5, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Jim Bernard. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Rudder Funeral Home to go toward funeral expenses for Joseph Houston Williams, Jr.
