Mrs Josephine G. Moore 95 of Scottsboro passed away on Wednesday, January 28, 2026
in Huntersville, NC. Josephine G. Moore was born in Jackson County Alabama to the late Ora Robinson and Leo Griffin. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Eddie Lee Moore Sr., sons, Eddie L. Moore Jr. and Willie Howard Moore.
She joined St. Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church at an early age, where she served faithfully as a Deaconess, Matron, Mother of the Church, Mothers Board, Kitchen committee, and a Fabulous Church Decorator.
Josephine leaves to cherish her memory, a daughter, Melissa Moore Reeves (Larry Reeves), 2 sons Spencer Eli Moore and Paul Wayne Moore, daughter-in-law Velma Moore (Willie Howard Moore). A host of Grand, Great Grand, Great Great Grand and even Great Great Great Grandchildren.
She also leaves to Cherish her memory a coveted friend, Mary Abernathy, the Sandford family and a host of relatives and friends.
Visitation will begin at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at St. Elizabeth M.B. Church in Scottsboro, Alabama. Funeral Services will follow beginning at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery in Scottsboro, Alabama.
