Josephus Rogers 71 of Stevenson, AL died July 1, 2008 at Grandview Medical Center in Jasper, TN. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving for nearly 21 years. He was a Vietnam Veteran and a Stevenson High School Graduate Class of 56. Joe was a member of First Baptist Church in Stevenson, member of Bolivar 127 Masonic Lodge and Scottish Rites of South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents Floyd Prince "Babs" and Jessie Lee Ragan Rogers and sister Jerrine Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 49 years Bettie Alice Hookey rogers; daughters Kimberly Jerrine (William Randall) Wagner and Katherine Donna Rogers both of CA; granddaughter Joell Reaves of OK; brother Bobby Eugene Rogers of Stevenson; sister Anna Jane (Terry) Hughes of Bridgeport, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Wednesday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Thursday, July 3, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Caperton Cemetery in Stevenson, AL.
