Joyce Marie Gilley Cooper, 71 of Bridgeport, AL, died May 7, 2011 at her home. Joyce was the daughter of the late William Thomas "Muskrat" and Elsie Elosie Carlisle Gilley born December 11, 1939 in Bridgeport, AL. She had worked at H.D. Lee as a machine operator. Joyce was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
Survivors include her children: Kenneth Jake (Frances) Cooper, Jr. of Stevenson, AL, Shiela (Brian) Wilson of Athens, AL, Charlie (Donna) Cooper of Hollywood, AL; grandchildren: Cassey Cooper, Travis Wilson, Jeremy Wilson, Chad Cooper, Megan Cooper; siblings: Betty Cooper, Barbara Cooper both of Bridgeport, Mildred Shumake of Fackler, AL, Buddy Gilley of Atlanta, GA; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Monday, May 9, at 11 AM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. David Smith. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
