June Abbott Gibson's Obituary
June Abbott Gibson, age 83, a 57-year resident of Titusville, FL, died peacefully on April 29, 2017. Ethel June was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Johnson Abbott born November 28, 1933 in Bridgeport, AL. June was a graduate of Bridgeport High School Class of 52.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years Robert J. Gibson, son Robert "Robbie" J. Gibson Jr., daughter Hope Marie Gibson; grandson Robert Lee Gibson II; and 8 siblings.
Survivors include her son Joseph (Kathy) Gibson; grandchildren: Lauryn Gibson, Samantha Gibson, and Isabella Gibson; great-grandchildren: Caleb Gibson, Michael Gibson, Evelyn Gibson, and Abel Gibson; sisters: Berneda Hill of Bridgeport, AL, Nora Williams of Section,AL, and Alberta (Joe) Reeves of Goodlettsville, TN; sisters-in-law: Shirley Abbott and Carolyn Abbott; numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, May 5, 5:00-8:00 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, May 6, at 1:00 PM in the funeral home chapel officiated by David Abbott and Bro. Josh Myers. Interment will be in Abbott Chapel Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
