Kathleen Crownover Hackworth, 94 of Stevenson, AL, died January 20, 2012 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation where she resided for the last several years. Kathleen Qayle was the daughter of the late Albert Anderson and John Allen "Alyne" Setliffe Gonce born April 20, 1917 in Gonce, Alabama. She was a member of Church of Christ in Stevenson and a member of DAR.
Besides her parents, Kathleen was preceded in death by her husbands James Matthew Crownover and Jack Rorex Hackworth; daughters Judy Porter and Alyne Crownover; siblings John, Albert and Ed Gonce, Elizabeth Ray and Gretchen Gonce.
Survivors include her daughters: Jenny (Jerry) Gore of Sherwood, TN, Patsy "Pat" (Ken) Metcalfe of Franklin, KY, step-daughter Nellie Spring of Scottsboro, AL; grandchildren: Marsha (Philip) Garnett of Hopkinsville, KY, Mike Metcalfe of Bowling Green, KY, Mary (Mark) Petersen of Fremont, NE, Jeff (Sarah) Gore, Jesse (Christy) Gore, and Eli Gore all of Sherwood, TN; 12 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and other relatives
Visitation will be 2-9 PM CT Saturday at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Sunday, January 22, at 2 PM CT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Ray Winton. Interment will be at the Crownover Cemetery in Anderson, TN. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
