Lalia (Keith)'s Obituary
Lalia Keith Sisk, 91 of Scottsboro, AL, died December 4, 2012 at her home. She was preceded in her death by her husband of 57 years, William Thomas (Tom) Sisk. Lalia and Tom were a fixture of the community, operating Tom’s Café for 25 years.
She is survived by her daughters Betty Sisk Esslinger and Nancy Sisk Gilliam and their spouses John Esslinger and Jimmy Gilliam; grandchildren Rob (Sonja) Esslinger, Tom (Amanda) Esslinger, Jim (Kirsten) Gilliam and Jana Gilliam; and great-grandchildren John Thomas Esslinger and William Keith Esslinger. She was the matriarch of her family, to which she showed enduring love and devotion.
She was a loyal member of the First Baptist Church of Scottsboro, a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, a dedicated community servant, and a good friend to all who knew her.
Services
Visitation: 5—8 PM, Thursday, December 6, 2012 at Rudder Funeral Home, Scottsboro AL
Funeral: 3 PM, Friday, December 7, 2012 at First Baptist Church of Scottsboro
Mrs. Sisk will lie-in-state at the church one hour prior to the service.
Officiating: Bro. Kevin Wilburn
Interment: Cedar Hill Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the First Baptist Church of Scottsboro c/o the Louise Jacobs Sunday School Class.
