Larry Moreland's Obituary
Larry Moreland, age 78 of Scottsboro, passed away on Tuesday, January 23, 2018. He was born at the Tuscaloosa County Hospital, then located on the campus at the University of Alabama. He was a devoted Crimson Tide fan, as well as being an avid fisherman. Larry retired from First National Bank and was a member of First Baptist Church of Scottsboro. He is survived by his daughters, Karen and Phil Potter, Leslie and Christopher Scannell, and Deborah Morris; step-sons, Judley and Marsha Glass, and John and Wendy Glass; grandchildren, Zakk, Ally, Aidan, Dagny, Molly, Tess, Gaelle, Nicholas, Owen, John, Connor, Alex, Hannah, Caitlin, Ashleigh, Alexis, Zachary Allen (Mica) and Codirae (Aaron); great-grandchildren, Carson, Bruce, Jason, Thea, Xander, Gavin, and Brody. He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Virginia Moreland; and his beloved wife, Sherrie. Visitation will be Friday, January 26 from 11am-2pm at First Baptist Church of Scottsboro. The funeral service will begin at 2pm at the church with Bro. Kevin Wilburn officiating. Burial will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
