Laura Mae Lankford Brown, 85 of Stevenson, AL died August 18, 2010 at Memorial Health Care System in Chattanooga, TN.
Laura was the daughter of the late Sterling and Emma Singleton Lankford, Sr. born May 6, 1925 in Stevenson, AL. She was a member of Center Star Missionary Baptist Church. Laura had been a cook for the Choo-Choo Restaurant and Town-Ko Restaurant in Stevenson.
Besides her parents, Laura was preceded in death by her husband John D. Brown; brothers: Sterling Lankford, Jr., William Lankford; sister Imonia Bynum; daughter Emily Patton.
Survivors include: children: Ernest L. Brown of Stevenson, AL, Anna Brown of Chattanooga, TN, Charles E. Brown of Stevenson, AL; grandchildren: Brandon L. Brown of South Pittsburg, TN, Patrick L. Brown of Scottsboro, AL, Marcello R. Patton of Stevenson, AL, Foressa Patton of Chattanooga, TN, Stephanie Little of KY, Dale Little of AL; 11 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends 12 Noon till 2 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL Saturday, August 21 (two hours prior to funeral service time) The funeral service will begin at 2 PM CDT. Interment will be at the Stevenson Community Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
