Lawrence Roberts Jr.'s Obituary
Lawrence Andrew Roberts, Jr., 81 of Bridgeport, AL, died June 10, 2017 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Lawrence was the son of the late Lawrence Andrew and Mary Katherine Henshaw Roberts born June 26, 1935 in Jackson County Alabama. Larry was a South Pittsburg High School graduate. He retired from Mead Paper Mill and served in the U.S. Army and National Guard.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Gaynor Merrimen Roberts and his second wife Joann Lawson Roberts; son Gary Roberts; daughter Lucretia Roberts; sisters Shirley Earp and JoAnn Barker.
Mr. Roberts was survived by his grandchildren: Eric (Kari) Roberts, Kimberly Roberts and Kevin Roberts; great-grandson Eric Roberts, Jr.; daughter-in-law Katherine Roberts; nieces: Kathy Denmark, Molly Johnston, Karen Peterson; and his close friend Ann Walker.
Visitation will be Thursday 10 AM - 2 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will begin at 2 PM Thursday, June 15, in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
