Lillie Mae Cookston Long, 82 of Stevenson, AL, died February 9, 2012 at her home. Lillie was the daughter of the late James Steve and Mary Jane Wilson Cookston born December 2, 1929 in Stevenson, AL. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 26 years Espern Thomas Long; children: Kenneth Moore, Mary Lewis, Josie Lee Long; grandson Kenneth Moore, Jr.; brother Edward Cookston and James Arvil Cookston.
Survivors include: her children: Emma (Tony) King of South Pittsburg, TN, Danny Long and Tommy Long both of Stevenson and Larry Long; grandchildren: Craig (Stacey) Lewis, Karen (Stacy) Kirk, Chris (Kathy) Moore, Kim King all of Stevenson, Jonathan King and Rachael King both of South Pittsburg, TN, siblings: Charles David Cookston and Hazel Whitaker of Stevenson, Mary Ann Maynor of Bridgeport, AL, Linda Faye Miller of SC, Herbert Steve (Faye) Cookston of Scottsboro, AL; a host of other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday 5-9 PM CT, Saturday 10 AM-9 PM CT, Sunday 10 AM-2 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral will be Sunday, February 12, at 2 PM CT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. J. B. Jones followed by interment at Old Baptist Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
