Lois Martin, 77 of Stevenson, AL, passed away November 29, 2012 at Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Lois was the daughter of the late Samp and Elizabeth Katherine Knight Martin born March 30, 1935 in Fackler, Alabama. She had worked as a seamstress for Midway Cleaners in South Pittsburg, TN and was a twister at Avondale and Shaw Carpet Mill where she worked over 24 years.
Survivors include her children: Judy Martin of Fulton, TX, James Holcomb of Bridgeport, AL; grandchildren: James Kirk of Stevenson, AL, Jerry Kirk of Dalton, GA, Rhonda Parker of Rockport, TX, Michelle Dawson of South Pittsburg, TN, Shannon Turner of Chattanooga, TN, Christi Curtis of Fackler, AL; sister-in-law Thelma Martin; many great and great-great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday, 4-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Sunday, December 2, at 2 PM CT at the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in the Inglis Cemetery in Carnes, Al. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
