Louise Lindsey King, 87 of Stevenson, AL, died peacefully in her sleep June 6, 2012 at her home. Helen Louise was the daughter of the late James Simion and Frances Elizabeth Howse Lindsey, born June 7, 1924 in Huntsville, Alabama. She was a retired Sixth Grade Teacher having taught at Stevenson and North Sand Mountain Schools. Mrs. King was a member of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Alice Sanders Book Club, OAW, Friends of the Library and Jackson Co. Teachers Association.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Harold Edwin King and son Col. Harold E. King, Jr.
Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law:  William Steven (Kathy) King of Blue Ridge, GA, James Robert King of Stevenson, AL, Maryanne King of Yorktown, VA; grandchildren:  Scott Edwin King of NC, Amy Elizabeth Hess of Washington DC, Katie Anne King of Yorktown, VA, Kimberly Ann Cook of Cleveland, TN, Steven Lewis King and Shyna King both of Blue Ridge, GA; great-grandchildren:  Gavin and Conner King, Jonathan and Savanna Cook
and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday 4-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Sunday, June 10, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Gary Tubb followed by interment at the Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
