Lula Pearl Fennell Evans, 76 of Hollywood, AL,fell asleep peacefully on October 28, 2015 at The Bridge of South Pittsburg, TN. She took flight at 4:36 in the afternoon to be with the Lord.
Lula Pearl was born to the late George and Juanita Cothron Fennell on November 30, 1938 in Scottsboro, Jackson County, Alabama. At an early age, she became a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Hollywood, AL. She was married to the late Thomas Evans and to this union eleven children were born. Besides her father and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons: Randy "Choo Choo", Jeff Bo Evans and granddaughter Angela Evans.
Lula leaves to cherish her memory six sons and three daughters: George (Martha), Sam (Dianne), Rickey, Katherine (Billy), Robert, Steve, John, Essie (Patrick), Ella Jean (Eddie); 15 grandchildren: Thomas, Jennifer, Greg, Amy, Sam, Jr., Trencia, Billy, KC, John, Jr., Zack, Anthony, Octavia, Olivia, Emily, Eddie III; a host of great-grandchildren; a loving mother Juanita Fennell; four sisters and three brothers: Mary (Jack), Pete, Linell, Brenda, Priscilla, Ed, Ray (Gwen); sister-in-law Louise (West); five aunts, one uncle; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 31, at 2 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel in Stevenson, AL, officiated by Rev. Alan Holman, with visitation one hour prior to the funeral service beginning at 1 PM CDT. Interment will be in the Old Baptist Cemetery in Hollywood, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
