Macy Mae Gass Stevens, 86 of Sherwood, TN died October 26, 2016 at Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Macy was the daughter of the late Lark Alexander and Evia Mae Crowell Gass born May 10, 1930 in Stevenson, AL. She was a member of Church of Christ in Anderson, TN.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Stevens was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Woodrow Wilson Stevens; sons: Donald Faron Stevens and Gary Wayne Stevens; brothers: Floyd, Andrew, Warnie, Raymond Gass and sister Lela Crownover.
Survivors include her children: Carolyn (Carl) Cole of Irving, TX, Brenda (Roy) Summers, Ronald Stevens and daughter-in-law Jo-Ann Stevens all of Sherwood, TN; grandchildren: Jason (Deni Bracy) Willis, Leigh Ann Summers, Jamie (Sherman) Smith, Katie (John) Jones; great-grandchildren: Jeri Lynn Summers, Cameron Sexton, Bart Smith; sisters: Lillian (John Wayne) Thompson, Nellie Johnson both of Stevenson, AL; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Friday, 3-8 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 29, at 2 PM CDT in the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Johnny Stevens and Bro. Aubrey Dewayne Dunn. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery in Sherwood, TN. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
