Martha Jane Cross McGee's Obituary
On the morning of March 10, 2016, Martha Jane Cross McGee passed away peacefully surrounded by family. Martha was 84 years old.
Martha McGee was born in Jackson County Alabama on September 30, 1931. She was the second child and daughter of Anna Belle Daniels Cross and Macklyn Cross.
A survivor of the depression, she became a successful business woman, operating a gifts and specialty shop and owning vast property holdings in both Jackson and Dekalb counties.
Throughout her extended battle with cancer and heart disease, she maintained an incredibly positive, courageous attitude, never losing her faith. Regardless of her circumstances, she never missed singlehandedly cooking Christmas breakfast for her large family.

Father, Charles Macklyn Cross
Mother, Anna Belle Daniels
Son, Gregory Scott McGee
Siblings: Florence Cross Curtis, Jim Cross, and Robert Lee Jones, and Beloved uncle, Sy Daniels.

Siblings: Dean Cross Gulley and Sadie Cross Bias
Grandchildren: Eric Charles McGee, Nicole McGee Browand, Shayna McGee Chambless, Ashlon McGee Schum, Cameron McGee, and Jessica McGee,
Greatgrandchildren: Meagan McGee, Kathryn Rothell, Aydan McGee, George Chambless, Julia Chambless, Abigail McGee, Camilla Browand, Anna Beatrice Browand, and James Browand,
Numerous nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews..
She will lie in state at Rudder Funeral Home, Scottsboro, Alabama, with visitation from 5-9 on Friday, March 11, 2016. The funeral will be held on Saturday, March 12, at 4 P.M..Following will be the burial at Pine Haven Cemetery.
