Marvin Jackson Cabe, 74 of Stevenson, AL died January 26, 2011 at his home. Marvin was the son of the late Ottis Fred and Mary Etta Deitz Cabe born October 17, 1936 in Sylva, NC. He served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Navy. Marvin had been a Pulp Mill Operator for Mead.
Survivors include his wife of 52 years Linda Lou Dillard Cabe; daughter Tammy (Mark) Sutton; grandchildren Jake Hicks, Carrigan Hicks; mother-in-law Lou Dillard all of Stevenson, AL; siblings: Carlin Cabe of Sylva, NC, Dautry Cabe of Greencastle, IN, Dempsey Cabe of Troy, MI, Lillian Morris of Brevard, NC.
Besides his parents, Marvin was preceded in death by his siblings: Helen Gaither, Winston Cabe and father-in-law Buford Dillard.
Visitation will be Friday, January 28, 10 AM-12 PM at Melton Funeral Home in Sylva, NC followed by a Graveside Service at 12:30 PM at the Fairview Memorial Gardens. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
