Marvin Edward Morris, 87 of Stevenson, Al, died March 24, 2018 at Memorial Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Marvin was the son of the late Alfred Lansing and Vernie Morris, born December 9, 1930 in Stevenson, Al. He was a member of the Stevenson Masonic Lodge and he worked as an electrician until retiring from TVA.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Effie Mae Morris; brother JD Brown; son Thomas Alfred Morris; step-son Douglas Creech and grandson Johnny Morris.
Survivors include his son: Alvin Edward (Helen) Morris of Dayton, TN, step-daughter Susan Stilz of Douglasville, GA, and Dennis Creech of Florida and his sister Odessa Morris Brown; 7 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at 11:00-1:00 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, Al. The funeral services will follow in the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Bro. Bill Cross. Interment will follow in Stevenson City Cemetery.
