Marvin Franklin Thompson, age 75 of Scottsboro, AL, passed away on Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his home. He is preceded in death by his parents, John William Noah and Inex Paradise Thompson; grandchild, Michael Harden; sisters, Beatrice Thompson, Louise Traylor, and Vester Pearl Thompson; brothers, Cledith, Earl, and James Thompson. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Pursley Thompson; children, Michael, Mark (Cynthia), Kenny, Richard (Tricia), Chris, and Gary Thompson; grandchildren, Nicole, Krislon, Travis, Dalton, Jenna, Marina, Marisa, Todd, Jeremy, Hannah, and Addison Thompson; great-grandchildren, Gracelyn and Isabella Thompson; sisters, Stella Atkins and Patsy McCoy; brothers, Jimmy, Edward, and David Thompson; as well as several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Mr. Thompson will be Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 5-9pm at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro. The funeral service will be Sunday, September 24 at 2pm at the funeral home chapel.
