Mary Lou Collins Chapman, 82 of Bridgeport, AL died September 17, 2010 at her home.
Mary was the daughter of the late James Carl and Mattie Belle Taylor Collins born March 31, 1928 in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. She had worked as a licensed practical nurse for Dr. Elmore in Bridgeport and at South Pittsburg Hospital. She was a member of Edgefield Church of Christ.
Besides her parents Carl and Belle Collins, she was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years Joe Curtis Chapman; son James R. Chapman and sister JoAnn Motes.
Survivors include: children: Colin (Sue) Chapman, Lisa (S.L.) Smith, daughter-in-law Carol Chapman all of Bridgeport, AL, Dirk Chapman of Soddy Daisy, TN; grandchildren: Christopher Chapman, Brent Chapman, Kandi Gilley, Randy Gilley, Lisa Michelle Smith, Samuel Smith, Adam Smith, Jillian Chapman and Abby Chapman; 8 great-grandchildren; siblings: J.T. (Betty) Collins and Carlene Shrader all of Bridgeport.
Visitation will be Sunday 12-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Monday, September 20, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Wayne McAllister. Interment will be at the Rocky Springs Cemetry in Bridgeport. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
