Mary Ellen Henry's Obituary
Mary Henry was born on August 31, 1943 to the late Veda Mae and
Robert C. Henry. She departed this life on July 23, 2017 at
Cumberland Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Home.
Mary Henry attended G.W. Carver High School and received a
business degree from Decatur Community College. She accepted
Christ at an early age at Joyce Chapel AME Church and later moved
her membership to First Missionary Baptist Church. Mary worked as
a Ward Clerk at Jackson County Hospital and later as a CNA at
Highland Medical Hospital until her retirement. Mary had an
unconditional love for her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Veda Mae and Robert C.
Henry; sisters, Veda Harris and Elizabeth Henry; brothers, William
F. Henry and Robert C. Henry, Jr.; nephew, Terry Frank Henry, Jr.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories to her devoted and loving
brother, Johnny ( Fannie) Henry of Bridgeport, AL; devoted nephews,
Christopher (Deedra) Harris of Scottsboro, AL; Myzell (Sabrina)
Henry of Atlanta, GA; Page (Nechole) Talley and Camdon Harris of
Scottsboro, AL; Terry Frank Jr of Huntsville,AL; Lorenzo Moore of
Hollywood, AL; devoted nieces, Elexis Harris and Janae Davis of Scottsboro, AL;
Marie (Jerry) Davis of Scottsboro, AL; Megan (JR) Henderson of
Scottsboro, AL; Raquel (Donnie) Smith of Chattanooga, TN; Shellie
(Fred) Williams of Atlanta, GA; Kyesha Harris of Scottsboro, AL;
Jennifer (Avi) Martinez of Huntsville, AL, and host of other relatives
and friends.
Visitation for Mary is Sunday, July 30, 2017 from 1-2 PM, with the
funeral service beginning at 2 pm at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro.
Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be made at
