Mary Lou Welch Mashburn, 82 of Bridgeport, AL, died October 21, 2016 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation where she was a resident. Mary "Tiny" was the daughter of the late Edgar C and Sarah Rackler Welch, born June 16, 1934 in South Pittsburg, TN. She had been a nurse at North Jackson Hospital, South Pittsburg Hospital and Dr. Joe Hall's office. Mary was a member of Hillside Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
Survivors include her husband Robert Junior Mashburn; daughter: Roberta "Bobbie" (Grant) Russell; granddaughter Jennifer White (Duane) Gamble; grandson Dustin (Elisabeth) Mashburn; great grandsons, Grady Dean Gamble and Casen Reid Mashburn; sisters, Faye Welch Rowe and Margret (Terry) Rogers many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Sarah Rackler Welch; brother, Buster Welch; sisters and brothers-in-law, Alma "Boots" and Albert Sharp, Carrie "Punk" and Clarence Rich, Fannie "Bill" and Jim Mashburn, Carl Edward Rowe; Sons, Paul Grady and Carl Edward Mashburn; daughter, Betty Jim Mashburn.
Visitation will be Sunday October 23 at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL from 11:00AM—8:00PM. The Funeral Service will be Monday, October 24, in the funeral home chapel beginning at 2:00PM with Bro. Joe David Moore officiating.
