Mattie Etta Crownover Hicks, 91 of Bedford, TX, died November 19, 2011 at Baylor Regional Medical Center in Grapevine, TX. Mattie Etta was the daughter of the late Johnathan Walker and Ada Ruth Lehr Crownover born October, 5, 1920 in Sherwood, TN. Besides her parents, Etta was preceded in death by her two husbands: Walter Dallas Brown, Jr., Pleas Cleeve Hicks and her son Charles Brown. Mrs. Hicks was of the Church of Christ faith.
Survivors include: children: Rev. Jerry E. Brown of Dallas, TX, Jay H. (Melinda) Hicks of Santa Fe, TX, Jackie (George) Tomlinson of Bedford, TX; grandchildren: Mary Lynn Tomlinson, John Sparks, Wilson Lyn Sparks, Sandy Bullard, Sonja Hodgenson, Jennifer Borman, Candice Hicks, Dallas Hicks, Charlee Nicole Brown; 10 great-grandchildren; sisters: Mildred Bradford of Nashville, TN, Ann Turner of Tullahoma, TN; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graveside service will be Wednesday, November 23, at 1 PM CT at Crownover Cemetery in Anderson, TN.
