Maureen Ann Gulbransen Kirk, 68 of Blue Island, IL formerly of Chicago, IL, died May 3, 2011 at Metro South Hospital. Maureen was the daughter of the late Oscar and Enid Gulbransen born October 25, 1942 in Chicago, IL. She was an office manager formerly employed by Aon Extended Benefit Service Center in Chicago. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Paul; father-in-law and mother-in-law Henry Lee and Isabelle Margaret Thomas Kirk; brothers-in-law: Billy Gene, James "Bo", Jack and Jerry Kirk; sister-in-law Betty Ruth McCarver.
Maureen was survived by her husband of 51 years John H. Kirk of Blue Island, IL; brothers-in-law: Donald (Sue) Kirk, Kenneth (Joanie) Kirk, Wayne (Sarah) Kirk, Raymond (Beth) Kirk, Ronnie (Debbe) Kirk, Rickey Joe Kirk; sister-in-law Gladys Kirk; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday 5-9 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral will be Saturday, May 7, at 11 AM at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Vernon Coffman. Interment will be at St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
