Maurice C. Crownover, 78 of Red Bank, TN died August 21, 2010 at his home. Maurice was the son of the late James Lee and Annie Beene Crownover born February 19, 1932 in Anderson, TN. He was a decorated Korean War Veteran in the U.S. Army. Mr. Crownover was the owner of Red Bank Carpets. He was a member of White Oak Church of Christ in Red Bank.
Besides his parents, Maurice was preceded in death by his son Eddy Lee Crownover; sister Martha Crownover Garner; brothers: Jim Crownover, George Crownover; nephew Douglas Payne; brother-in-law and sister-in-law James W. and Barbara Raulston Payne.
He is survived by his wife of 55 1/2 years Shirley Raulston Crownover; son Joseph Matthew Crownover of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandson Thomas Lee Crownover of Birchwood, TN; sister Ella Crownover Gonce of Stevenson, AL; brothers: John Crownover and Joseph William "Joe Bill" Crownover both of Chattanooga, TN; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 2-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 25, at 10 AM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Jim Dearman. Interment will be at Pine Grove Cemetery in Jasper, TN.
