Mazy Rudder Blevins, 90 of Stevenson, Alabama died June 4, 2010 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation in Bridgeport, AL.
Mazy was the daughter of the late Marcus Lafayette and Louella Washington Rudder born October 25, 1919 in Stevenson, Alabama.
Mazy was a graduate of Peabody College in Nashville, TN. She had taught fifth grade in the Jackson County School System for over 30 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lourdes in South Pittsburg, TN; Ladies Auxilary, helped with the Meals on Wheels Program and was a Volunteer Librarian.
Besides her parents, Mazy was preceded in death by her sisters: Peggy Loyd, Letty Davis, Mary Orme and Jim Quick.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Jim and Sheila Blevins; grandson James Blevins all of Stevenson; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday 1 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The Graveside Service will immediately follow at 2 PM CDT at Stevenson City Cemetery officiated by Rev. Gary Tubb.
