Mr. Michael David "Mike" Herrell's Obituary
Michael David "Mike" Herrell, 72, of Section, AL, passed away Friday, September, 9, 2022, at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, AL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Oliver "Bill" Herrell, and his mother, Ruth Wanda Burggraaf.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry Herrell; brother and his wife, Tim and Theresa Herrell of Prattville, AL; son and his wife, Michael Cole and Anna Herrell of Hildebran, NC; son and his wife, Randall Tyler and Kim Herrell of Huntsville, AL; and 7 grandchildren, Aidan, Aurora, Lydia, Katie, Bryce, Willow, and Lily.
Mike was equally known for his carpentry skills as well as his Christian faith. His carpentry skills even had him working on the White House in Washington DC in 1987-88. Mike served the country he loved in the late 1960's by enlisting in the Air Force, and he was a true American patriot. He spent his free time bass fishing, traveling the country, and enjoying his family. Mike loved vocalizing his love for Alabama Crimson Tide football, especially in front of busloads of Vol fans. He was a special man who was the love of Sherry's life, the best friend of many, and an adoring father and grandfather who will be deeply missed, but he would want everyone to know that Jesus loves you.
There will be a private memorial service for family to honor Mike's life.
