Michael David Payne's Obituary
Michael David Payne, 72 of Stevenson, AL, died August 28, 2017 at his home. Michael is the son of the late David Allen and Winnie Summers Payne, born May 10, 1945 in San Diego, CA. He was a retired journeyman electrician with TVA Widows Creek Steam Plant. Mike was a member of IBEW Union Local 175 in Chattanooga, TN and Matthews Memorial Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 22 years Lynn Moore Payne; children: Richard Payne of Owens Crossroads, Randall (Amy) Payne of Scottsboro, AL, Samuel (Karen) Smith of Stevenson, AL, Jennifer (Rob) Lombardi of CA, Jared (Brandy) Smith of Stevenson; grandchildren: Dylan Payne, Krislynn Smith, Paige Smith, Cheyenne Smith, Matthew Lombardi, Claire Lombardi, Hadi Smith: great-grandchild Phoenix Smith.
Visitation will be Tuesday, 6-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Wednesday, August 30, at 2 PM CDT in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Larry Glass and Rev. Ken James. Interment will be in Longacre Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
