Mitchell Lee Coffman's Obituary
Mitchell Lee Coffman died peacefully surrounded by his family and is in the presence of the Lord now. Mitchell is Survived by his Wife, Louise McMahan Coffman, Sons, Trae McMahan (Tabatha), Josh Coffman (Jessica), Daughter-in-Law, Ashley Ledford, Grandchildren, Jordan McMahan, Braylynn (Sissy) McMahan, Lexi Coffman, Hayes Coffman, Brother, Paul Leslie Coffman (Donna), Sister-in-Laws, Mary Maynor (Wayne), Martha Wright (Alvin), Tammy Guess Garner (Jimmy), Brother-in-Law, Larry Hambrick (Neoka), Father-in-Law, James Hambrick (Terry Ragan), Special Aunt, Jane Stump White (Mark), a host of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and wonderful friends.
He is Preceded in death by his Parents, Paul Sanders and Anna Lee Coffman, Brother, Darrin (Flea) Coffman.
Mitchell was a devoted Son, Husband, Dad, Granddad, Brother and friend. Mitchell loved to collect and shoot guns. He loved to deer hunt and found peace sitting in the woods. Mitch was a 1982 graduate of Stevenson High School. He knew from a young age he wanted to be an electrician. Mitch attended Chattanooga State Community College to pursue his dream. After working in Atlanta for a brief period of time, he came home and was employed by Shaw Industries. In 1999 he went to work at the new USG plant in Bridgeport where he has been employed for approximately 27 years. Mitchell loved his family more than life. Especially doted and spoiled his girls, Sissy and Lexi. He loved helping people especially those who were alone and had no one. Mitchell loved being an anonymous giver for Christmas food banks, and other local charities. He recieved a blessing from giving to others. Mitchell loved his work family and kept in touch with his persons during his illness.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 from 3-8 PM. Funeral Services will be held in the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, January 16, 2025 beginning at 1:00 PM with Tim Rayburn officiating. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
