Myrtle Evans Woodall, 91 of Bridgeport, AL, died April 11, 2014 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation. Myrtle was the daughter of the late Will Carroll and Melinda Jane Hall Evans born April 28, 1922 in Scottsboro, AL. She was a member of United Methodist Church in Scottsboro, AL. Myrtle had worked as a seamstress at Benson and Valtex clothing mills. Besides her parents, Myrtle was preceded in death by her husband James Louis Woodall and five siblings.
Survivors include: children: Talmadge (Shirley) Woodall of Stevenson, AL, Ruby Lawhenore of Bridgeport, AL; grandchildren: Jim (Angie) Lawhenore of Edgewood, NM, Stephanie (Jason) Brooks of South Pittsburg, TN; great-grandchildren: Payton Lawhenore, Tyler Lawhenore, Kalie Brooks, Kyla Brooks, Kason Brooks, Brody Matney, Tory Benson; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Saturday 6-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be Sunday, April 13, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Donald Jacobs. Interment will be in Pinehaven Memorial Gardens in Hollywood, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
