Nancy Elizabeth Thomas Heck, 67 of Stevenson, Alabama, passed away Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Kindred Hospital in Chattanooga, TN. Nancy was the daughter of the late Willie Lerman and Mary Elizabeth Thomas born November 23, 1944 in Stevenson, AL. Nancy was a retired cook of a retirement center in Missouri where she worked approximately 12 years. She was a member of Centennial Baptist Church and she loved to play bingo.
Besides her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years Eugene Ollie Heck and brother Jessie Thomas.
Survivors include her children: Richard Dean (Teresa) Heck of Emperial, MO, Dawn Denise (fiance Michael Marsala) Dortch of Stevenson, AL, Christopher Douglas (Dawn) Heck of St. Louis, MO; grandchildren: Joey Marsala, Christopher Heck, Cory Marsala, Kelcy Heck, Robert Heck, Steven Yancey, Anthony Marsala, Dylan Heck, Brittnie Heck, Christian Dortch, Rebecca Heck; siblings: Richard Thomas, Louise Wooden, Jan Sampley, Sheila Shrum, David Thomas, Danny Thomas, Ricky Thomas, and Wendell Thomas; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Tuesday, March 6, 5-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. There will be no formal funeral service.
