Mrs. Nannie C. Word passed away Friday May 5 at the Barfield Health Care Center in Guntersville. Mrs. Word was preceded in death by her husband W. B. Word and will be buried beside him in the Preston Cemetery. Mrs. Word is survived by two children Mrs. La Rue Anderson of Scottsboro and Son and daughter-in-law Doyle and Jane Word of Charleston, SC. Mrs. Word has four grandchildren and their spouses Blaine and Susan Anderson of Huntsville, Al. Darryl Anderson of Easton, MD, Shannon and Keith Cochran of Tampa, Fl
And Brad and Reba Word of Toronto, Canada. Two Great Grand children Mary Catherine Anderson of Huntsville and Elias Word of Toronto, Canada, several nieces and nephews and special niece and nephew Jim and Linda Word.
The family will receive friends Monday May 7, 3:30pm until 5 pm at the
Broad Street Church of Christ in Scottsboro, Alabama the funeral services will Begin at 5pm at the church with Mr. Terry Broome officiating. Private burial services will be Tuesday May 8 at the Preston Cemetery in Marshall County. The family suggests that in lieu of flowers memorial donations maybe made to the Broad Street Church of Christ Learning Center or to the Barfield Health Care Center 613 S. Broad St. Scottsboro, Al. 35768
