Elizabeth Nell West Rogers, 93 of Bridgeport, AL, died August 5, 2014 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation where she had been a resident for a short time. Nell had been married 59 years to the late Starkey Rogers. She was the daughter of the late Charlie and Ida Melton West born December 10, 1920 in Jackson Co. Alabama. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her son, brothers and sisters. She was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sisters-in-law Joyce Cooper and Sue Rogers; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 4-8 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Thursday, August 7, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Josh Myers and Bro. Dean Johnson. Interment will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Nell Rogers may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church or the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church Building Fund www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
