Nellie Irene Gass Johnson, 84 of Stevenson, AL, died December 22, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday 5-8 PM and the Funeral Service will be Thursday, December 27, at 2 PM at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL officiated by Bro. David Webb. Interment will be in Stevenson City Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brandon Bishop, Joshua Johnson, Jonathan Johnson, Danny Crownover, Michael Gass, and Ronald Stewart
Nellie is the daughter of the late Lark Alexander and Evia Mae Crowell Gass, born July 6, 1934 in Stevenson, AL. She had worked as a carpet mill winder.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, Till "Doc" Johnson, Jr.; siblings: Andrew Gass, Floyd Guess, Warnie Gass, Raymond Gass, Lela Crownover and Mae Stevens.
Survivors include: son Ricky Johnson; daughter Kay (Darrell) Bishop; grandchildren: Joshua Johnson, Amy (Brian) Pitts, Brandon (Trina) Bishop, Jonathan Johnson, Lauren Bishop; great-grandchildren: Austin and Justin Pitts, Hayden Bishop; sister Lillian Thompson; nieces, nephews and other relatives. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
