Odie M.Watson Willis, 95 of Corbin, KY died April 4, 2013 at Baptist Health ~ Corbin.
Odie entered into this life on December 3, 1917 in Caryville, TN the daughter of Dewey and Virdie Bullock Watson, both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to James William Willis and they shared a wonderful life together. Odie was a factory worker and a member of the Faith Baptist Church where she is remembered for her love of sewing.
Odie is survived by two sisters: Georgie (Ralph) Shetterly of Caryville, TN and Ruby Acton of Corbin, KY. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Willis; her son Vaughn Willis; four brothers: Walter, Dealis, Elmer and Gilts Watson and three sisters: Alene Patterson, Louada Harmon and Noama Watson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Willis will be Sunday, April 7, 2013 at 2 PM at the Corbin Funeral Home with Bros. Benny Bush and David Young officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at the Longacre Cemetery in Stevenson, AL.
Visitation in Corbin, KY will be Sunday, April 7, from 12-2 PM at the Corbin Funeral Home and Tuesday, April 9, at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL at 10 AM - 11 AM. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com and www.corbinfh.com.
