Peggy Lucille Blaylock Davis, 89 of Bridgeport, AL, died April 11, 2015 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation. Peggy was the daughter of the late Sherman Dewey and Nellie Genevieve Smith Blaylock born August 2, 1925 in Cartersville, IL. She had worked at South Pittsburg Hospital, Andover Togs and Wal-Mart Greeter in Kimball, TN. Peggy attended the First United Methodist Church in Bridgeport. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband Coy Lee Davis, Sr.
Survivors include her children: Coy Lee Davis, Jr. of Bridgeport, AL, Jennie Sue Davis of Guntersville, AL; grandchildren: Keily Phillips (Dennis) Curtis of Bridgeport, Cody Hogwood of Huntsville, AL; great-grandchildren: Chasady Gibson, Ashlyn Curtis, Ryker McBride, Sam Slusher; sister Nadine Brewer of Florence, AL; special niece Linda (Sonny) Stewart; great-niece: Cindy Linam and her children: Haley and Jesse Linam.
Visitation will be Monday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, April 14, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Heidi Bender. Interment will be in Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
