Peggy Geraldine Raulston Williams, 91 of Bridgeport, AL, died May 18, 2016 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation. Peggy was the daughter of Lawrence and Maymie Kirkpatrick Raulston born April 2, 1925 in Richard City, She was a1943 Graduate of Richard City High School where she learned to love English, cheerleading and basketball. She married Jo John "J.J." Williams right out of high school and moved to New York where he was stationed in the Navy and she worked in a grocery store. Later they moved to Bridgeport, AL to raise their four children. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Bridgeport.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son Chelborne "Shelly" Williams.
Survivors include her children: Janice Jae (John T.) Hughes, Richard Rudder (Donna) Williams, David Brian Williams; grandchildren: Peggy Williams (Charlie) Smith, Becky Williams (Brandon) Hubbard, Josh Williams, Suzanne Hughes (David) Mills; 6 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends Thursday 1:00 - 1:45 PM CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The Graveside Service will be Thursday, May 19, at 2 PM CST at Kirkpatrick Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
