Quilla Lee Knott Moore, 95 of Bridgeport, AL, died November 16, 2016 at Cumberland Health and Rehabilitation. A special thanks to all the wonderful people at Cumberland Health and Rehab who took such good care of Quilla and grateful appreciation to her devoted friend Peggy Thompson.
Quilla was the daughter of the late John Holt and Ruth Chance Knott born December 7, 1920 in Bridgeport, AL. She had been an LPN at North Jackson Hospital, South Pittsburg Hospital and Rivermont Nursing Home. Mrs. Moore was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Bridgeport.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband William Greenville "Bill" Moore; son William G. Moore, Jr.; granddaughter Carolyn Sue Murrell; siblings: Baby Sister and Flavel Knott.
Survivors include: Her daughter Carolyn Moore; grandchildren: Arlene ("Bub") Pearson, Bobby Ray Jones, William G. "Will" (Heather) Moore III, Steven Riley (Christie) Moore, David (Sandy) Murrell; great-grandchildren: Christen Ray Jones, Joshua Cooley, Amanda Pearson Crawford, Alan Pearson, Kristen, Christopher, Tiffany, and Amber Moore, Tyler and Jesse Murrell; several great-great-grandchildren; Siblings: James Knott, Johnnie Eakins, Annette Avans, Mary Ruth Iliff; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday, 5-8 PM CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, November 19, at 2 PM in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Darren McCloud. Interment will be in Rocky Springs Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
