Clarence Ray Smith, 83 of Stevenson, AL died July 5, 2009 at his home. He was a member of Campbell's Chapel and was a retired Lineman Supervisor with North Alabama Electric Cooperative.
Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Edith Faye Burton Smith, daughter Dianne Smith Erskin; granddaughter Lensley Rae Rousseau; parents Lawrence Rhodafus and Ruth Mae Bookout Smith; brothers: Russell Smith, Lewis Smith, Michael Smith and Lawrence Smith, Jr.; and sister Opal Evans.
Ray is survived by his sister Anna Ruth (Glenn) MacDonald, brother-in-law Alvie Evans all of Stevenson, AL; 3 sisters-in-law and 3 brothers-in-law; nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Monday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Tuesday at 11 AM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Bill Stone and Rev. LeBron Ferguson. Interment will be at Stevenson City Cemetery.
