Raymond Ray Parker, 78 of Bridgeport, AL, died December 27, 2012 at his home. Raymond was the son of the late Paris Benton and Mary Lee Reno Parker born January 3, 1934 in Scottsboro, AL He served in the U.S. Army between 1960-1967. Mr. Parker had worked at TVA Widows Creek Steamplant as a Track Foreman.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings: Virginia Tolbert, Margaret Evans, Paris Parker, Jr, and Shorty Parker.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years Jane Boring Parker; children: Raymond Christopher Parker of Hollywood, AL, Judy Ann (Clyde) Kilgore of Bridgeport, AL, step-daughter Lee Ann (Jesus) Rodriguez of Chickamauga, GA; several grandchildren; sister Helen Hammonds of South Pittsburg, TN.
Visitation will be Saturday 2-9 PM, Sunday 2-9 PM CT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral will be Monday, December 31, at 11 AM CT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Randy Smith and Robbie Boring. Interment and Military Honors will be at 1:30 PM CT at Chattanooga National Cemetery in Chattanooga, TN.
