Rebecca "Becky" Smith Westmoreland's Obituary
Rebecca "Becky" Smith Westmoreland, 82 of Bridgeport, AL, died July 1, 2017 at The Bridge at South Pittsburg in Tennessee. Johnna Rebecca was the daughter of the late Charles Joseph and Lettie Ann Johnson Smith born November 24, 1934 in Bridgeport, AL. She was a Bridgeport High School Graduate Class of '54. "Miss Becky" owned the Little Angels Kindergarten for about 15 years. Then she worked as a greeter for about 20 years at First Bank of Marion County. Mrs. Westmoreland was a member of Concord Methodist Church, Bridgeport Literary Club, Alabama Alumni, and the Order of Easter Star in Bridgeport.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John Benton "Bee" Westmoreland and five siblings.
Survivors include her children: Paula (Brian) Phillips of Bridgeport, Benny (Gayle) Westmoreland of Collierville, TN; grandchildren: Bently (Kellan) Strain, Tripp (Laura) Westmoreland; great-grandson Oaks Dansby Strain; nine siblings; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Sunday 5-7 at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The Interment Service will be Wednesday, July 5, 11 AM CDT (12 Noon EDT) at Chattanooga National Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
