Richard C. "R.C." Henshaw, age 96 of Bridgeport, Alabama, passed away on July 2, 2012 at his residence.
Mr. Henshaw is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 66 years, Annie Kate Henshaw; daughters: Betty (Chester) Tate of Jasper, TN, Brenda (Don) Cunningham and Sheila Kennamer all of Bridgeport, AL; son Lester (Lavonne) Henshaw of Bryant, AL; sister Katherine Roberts of South Pittsburg, TN; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-granddaughter.
He was preceded in death by his parents James Thomas and Fannie Elizabeth Cooper Henshaw; brothers: Soloman Henshaw, Stanley Henshaw, Lafollette Henshaw and Henry Henshaw; sister Edith Barton.
He was a U. S. Army World War II Veteran. Richard was retired from TVA Widows Creek. He was a member of DAV and Calvary Baptist Church of South Pittsburg, TN.
Visitation will be Tuesday 5-9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be Wednesday July 4, at 2 PM CDT at the funeral home officiated by Pastor Richard Goss and Alacare Hospice Chaplain Neal Smith.
