Mr. Robert Francis Cotner III's Obituary
Robert “RobBob” Cotner passed away on November 23, 2022 at the age of 53, in his home of Hollywood, Alabama. Rob started life in Wildwood, Illinois, started adulthood serving his country in the United States Army, and ended his life surrounded by the people who loved him the most.
Rob met the love of his life, Kimberly, at a bar in the middle of nowhere, Tennessee. He held her shirt up on her shoulder for her, listened to her talk for hours, and within months they were married and expecting his first child. Rob has and will always be her protector, her listener, and her husband.
His first child, Robert Francis Cotner IV, was the light of his life. He was such a light, in fact, that he gave them the courage to welcome two more children: his middle, Emily, and his youngest, Alyson. He held their tiny hands, kissed their foreheads, and always made sure each one knew how much he loved them. Together, these children survive him along with their partners.
Rob had a unique way of making every single person he interacted with smile. He was one cool dude.
Rob will be honored in a memorial on November 30, 2022, from 5-7 P.M. Central Time at Rudder Funeral Home, located at 716 South Broad Street, Scottsboro, Alabama 35768. In the meantime, please send Kimberly, Emily, Bobby, and Alyson any pictures of our Robbob that made you smile.
