Robert Holder's Obituary
Robert (Bot) Eugene Holder, age 81, of Scottsboro, died Thursday, January 19, 2012 at Highlands Medical Center in Scottsboro, Alabama.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 22, 2012, at Rudder Funeral Home Chapel in Scottsboro, Rev. Steve Screws, Officiating. Burial will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Holder was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
The family has requested that donations be made to the Price Cemetery Association or American Lung Association in lieu of flowers.
Mr. Holder was a native of Jackson County and resided here all of his life. He was a retired member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Mr. Holder is survived by his sons Gene (Shay) Holder, Larry Holder, Randall (Gwen) Holder of Scottsboro, and daughter Beth Holder (Byron) Jones of Northport, Alabama; grandchildren Scott (Jenny) Holder, Shalyn (Lee) Benson, Chelsea Holder, Matthew Holder, Rebecca (Anthony) Murphy, Hunter Jones and Katelyn Jones; and great-grandchildren Jake Benson, Holder Benson, Ada Benson, Breanna Murphy, and Lexie Murphy.
Mr. Holder was preceded in death by his parents John Fred Holder and Katie Barber Holder, his wife Rena Mae Holder and nine brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 21 from 2-5 p.m. at Rudder Funeral Home in Scottsboro.
