Robert "Bob" Lewis Lilly, 89 of Chattanooga, TN died July 7, 2013 at Summit View Assisted Living.
Robert was born January 30, 1924 in Stevenson,Alabama. Bob was a U. S. Navy WWII Veteran serving from 1942-1945. He was a retired TVA Sequoia Plant warehouseman. Mr. Lilly was a member of the Hill City Masonic Lodge #603. He was a devoted husband, beloved father and grandfather. His smile, stories and sense of humor will be greatly missed. A special thanks goes to the staff and friends of Summit View Assisted Living for their exceptional care and kindness.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife Inez Elizabeth Jordan Lilly; parents Robert Lee Lilly and Anne Maude Timberlake Templeton; siblings: Leslie D. Lilly and Evelyn Campbell.
Survivors include his sons: Richard Michael (Alisa) Lilly of Elkmont, AL and Lewis Jordan (Kathy) Lilly of Rossville, GA; grandchildren: David Lilly, Kevin Lilly, Sherry Varner, Machel Wade and several great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 10, 10 AM - 2 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will begin at 2 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Perry Whitaker. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bob's memory to the Salvation Army. Masonic rites and interment will be held at Stevenson City Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com.
