Ruby Marie Ivey Brooks age 88 of Hollywood, Alabama passed away on Thursday, April 30, 2026 at her home. The family will receive friends at Rudder Funeral Home-Stevenson on Saturday, May 2, 2026 from 5-8:00PM. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, May 3, 2026 beginning at 2:00PM with Bro Charles Underwood and Bro Bret Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Pinehaven Memorial Garden, Hollywood.
Ruby is survived by her son, Roger Brooks; grandchildren, Josh (Kate) Brooks & Amanda (Bret) Johnson; great grandchildren, Abbie, Ryleigh, and Bryleigh Brooks & Brayson and Bentley Johnson; sisters, Edith Underwood, Edna Ethridge, Mary Jo Ott, and Debbie Jones and Special Thank You to Sherry Ball; her caregiver.
Preceded in death by her husband, Lester Brooks; Parents, John and Rose Ella Thomas Ivey, son, Stanley Brooks; grandson, Jeremy Brooks; brother, Doyle Ivey, Raymond Ivey; Sisters, Carolyn Gann, Gladys Talley, Vivian Batey, and daughter-in-law, Debbie Brooks
