Ruby Lee Carroll Cox, 100 of Albertville, AL formerly of Stevenson, AL died June 10, 2008 at Albertville Nursing Home. She was a life-long member of Stevenson Advent Christian Church, a member of Alice Sanders Book Club and Stevenson Mothers Club.
Mrs. Cox was preceded in death by her husband Thomas Hopkins "Tom Hop" Cox; parents William Benjamin and Verda Mae Reeves Carroll.
Ruby is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Sue and John Kitchens of Boaz, AL; grandchildren: Brad (Jan) Kitchens of Arab, AL, Lance (Jennifer) Kitchens of Albertville, AL, Nancy (Jimmy) Gardiner of Tuscumbia, AL; great-grandchildren: Wesley and Caleigh Kitchens, J. and Ryan Leigh Gardiner, Bryce, Chase, Will and Reed Kitchens; brother and sister-in-law J. T. and Evelyn Carroll of Stevenson, AL.
The family will receive friends Friday 3-5 PM CDT prior to the funeral service at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral service will be at 5 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Rev. Mike Spivey. Interment will be at Stevenson City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Ruby Cox to Stevenson Advent Christian Church.
