Ruby Mae Castle Massey, 85 of Bridgeport, Alabama, passed away surrounded by her family on November 2, 2015 in Huntsville Hospital in Huntsville, AL. Ruby was the daughter of the late Joe Wheeler and Mary Fannie Cox Castle born April 10, 1930 in Bridgeport, AL. Ruby was a member of the Edgefield Church of Christ.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Joe Massey, Jr.; grandson Christopher White; great-great-granddaughter Skylar Smith; brothers: Joe Cephus Castle and wife Jessie Mae, James Castle, Marion Castle and wife Emma Dean; sisters: Velma Castle Solomon and husband Tom, Flossie Castle; sister-in-law Rilla Castle; and son-in-law Jim Toney.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law Billy and Margaret Massey; daughters and sons-in-law: Martha June Toney, Peggy and Jan Koehler, Barbara and Mike Cooper; 7 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great-grandchildren; brother Carl Castle; sister-in-law Martha Castle; nieces, nephews and other relatives.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 5, 5-9 PM CST and Friday, November 6,
10 AM-2 PM CST at Rudder Funeral Home in Bridgeport, AL. The funeral service will be held Friday, November 6, at 2 PM CST with Brother Terry Claunch officiating. Interment will be in the St. Bonaventure Cemetery. www.rudderfuneralhomes.com
