Ruby Inez Kirk Moore, 74 of Scottsboro, AL formerly of Stevenson, AL died June 2, 2008 at Huntsville Hospital. She had been a resident of Cloverdale Manor. Ruby was a member of Church of God. Ruby had worked in the core room at Jacobs Manufacturing for many years. She is a decendant of Thomas Russell of Russell Cave who served in the Revolutionary War in 1776 and was half Cherokee.
She was preceded in death by her parents Stanton Melvin and Bessie Mae Thomas Kirk; brothers: Raymond, Thurman and Billy Kirk and nephew Jerry Jernigan.
Ruby is survived by her husband John Hubert Moore of Scottsboro, AL, sister Gladys Jernigan of MI; step children and a host of step-grandchildren; nieces, nephews: Juanita Smith, Melvin Kirk, Betty Prater, Anthony Kirk Robert Kirk all of Stevenson, AL, Diane White of Jasper, TN, Darlene Jernigan, Barbara Detters, Mark Jernigan all of MI; and special sister-in-law Zelma Kirk; great-nieces Annalysa Maria and Clarissa Ann Jernigan both of Swartz Creek, MI.
Visitation will be Tuesday 10 AM - 9 PM CDT at Rudder Funeral Home in Stevenson, AL. The funeral will be Wednesday, June 4, at 4 PM CDT at the funeral home chapel officiated by Bro. Anthony Kirk and Bro. Bud Guess. Interment will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.
